Answer: "The socialization that occurs with the activities, whether it's exercising, happy hour, trivia contests, and so on. The best part is the fact that you're with others during those activities, and you never feel alone. You're just always feeling like it's social here."

Answer: "I was ready to make a transition. My house was older, getting older. Things were going wrong. I couldn’t afford to pay for all those expenses anymore. And my body was telling me I couldn't do the yard anymore. And here, I could walk through the door, and it would all be gone. And it was good, you know, before it transitioned, I just did fine. I had to get rid of a lot of things, and I had a big sale and everything. But, you know, when I got here, it was just enough, that's all I need."

Answer: "My social life has changed 100%. From an isolator to a social butterfly. My story started when I lost mobility in my legs and realized it was time to retire at 70 years old. I couldn’t drive anymore, which meant being in complete isolation because of COVID-19. I was extremely depressed and lonely. I finally realized I could change my life. I had the good fortune to work with Ray Stone Inc. for 27 years. I was the Human Resource Manager when I retired. Being so aware of our senior communities, I always thought that when the time came, I would like to move to Winding Commons. What I have found here could almost be called family. I have great new friends and most everyone is happy and wants to be here. The social activities are amazing and varied. Everything from exercise, yoga, Tai Chi, bean bag baseball, Happy Hour, corn hole, chair volleyball, golf, horse racing, Wii Bowling, wine social, Casino Night, Farmers Markets, competitions between senior communities, card games, board games, Bingo (2 times a week), weekly outings out and around and too many more to mention. There are so many options and activities to choose from that there are days that I rarely get back to my apartment. Can you tell I love to have fun and interact with my friends? The best thing is you get to decide how involved you want to be. This is the time of your life to do it your way! Shortly after you move in, you will make friends and find a group to join. Then it is up to you how active you want to be. I would recommend trying everything at least once or just watching. I can honestly say moving to Winding Commons has completely changed my life. I am happy, positive, and stress-free at this time in my life. I am excited to be on the hospitality team welcoming new residents. And I enjoy leading BINGO two nights a week. How lucky am I to be living my best life ever now!"
