Executive leadership

Ray Stone, Jr., Founder, is a Certified Property Manager (CPM®), and past president of the California Apartment Association, the Sacramento Valley Apartment Association, and the local chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management. In addition to involvement in many civic and professional organizations, Ray is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, a licensed California Real Estate Broker and a Certified Property Manager. Following on his deep experience in multi-family residences, Ray became interested in senior communities and championed the purchase of Park Place in 1978 and Campus Commons Senior Community in 1991. Married for over 50 years, father of three, and grandfather of six, Ray is an avid outdoorsman.

J. Todd Stone, President/CEO, is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and licensed California Real Estate Broker. He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and past president of the Northern California CCIM Chapter, the Family Service Agency, River City Food Bank, and the Sacramento Active 20/30 Club. He is an active participant in both the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA) and the National Investment Center for Senior Living and Health Care (NIC). Having joined the firm in 1984, Todd heads all operations and investments for the firm. He has been married for over 25 years and is the father of two.

David W. Crump, Vice President - Residential Services, is a graduate of UCLA, a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He is past president of the Sacramento Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), having received CPM of the Year in 1998. He is an advisor to the Rental Housing Association and a current member of ASHA. Having joined RSI in 1996, Dave oversees both the multi-family and senior divisions for the firm. He has been married for over 10 years and is the father of one daughter and two stepsons.

Kelly Ashwell, Director - Ray Stone Seniors, is an Accredited Resident Manager (ARM), and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES). Kelly started with Ray Stone Incorporated in 1991, and began working with our senior communities in 1998. Kelly has been married for over 30 years and is the mother of one son and two foster daughters.
